When kids grow to be culturally aware, they are not only empathetic to people around them but are also able to perceive right from wrong. Teaching starts at home and it is of utmost importance that parents ensure their children know about the cultural diversity around them. Knowing is the first step to understanding and with understanding comes respect and harmony. Culturally responsive teaching must be adhered to in classrooms as well.
